After 7 years working in organic compliance on products from fresh pasta sauces to handmade body balms, the primary reason I see small producers decide not to go organic is because they fear the increased paperwork. That fear can be so strong that I’ve even seen folks who have BIG accounts waiting to bring them in once they go organic, delay the process. So if you are feeling that dread, you are not alone.
